To mark the Salone del Mobile 2019 event, the partnership between Meneghello Paolelli Associati and Alf DaFrè yields its first fruits.
Kendo is a product family of sideboards that stands out for its brilliant, rational and technically sophisticated design. The Kendo design sets out to reflect the essence of Japanese culture in the ambit of the martial arts, with a particular reference to the sword cult. The “cut” concept clearly identifies the focus of the collection, in the form of a sharp 30° front cleft, producing two offset doors that are the heart and soul of the collection.
As though Kendo were the protagonist of a theatre play titled “Form follows function” in three acts:
Act 1: Opens with a single sheet
Act 2: The door is cut at an angle of approximately 30°
Act 3: The resulting doors are offset by about 3°
In this way, the “acts” determine the distinctive mark that punctuates the opening movement and the door grip.
